Mobile Rhino’s video contest is exactly the kind of contest I like to enter. It was run by the Mobile Rhino staff so it was casual and the rules were pretty loose. To enter this one all you had to do was make a short film about how easy it is to lose or damage an ipad or iphone. (Mobile Rhino protects the data on your mobile devices.) Contestants didn’t even have to mention the sponsor in their submission. So basically this contest was just a nice excuse to have fun and make a goofy little video. There were also several prizes up for grabs and though there was a voting phase, votes only made up a small part of a contestant’s final score. I entered way back in April and I found out this week that I won a $500 runner up prize. Here’s my video:

I was very happy to win anything in this contest since me and some actor-friends basically just went to the park with an ipad and made up that story as we went along. I really like the final product though; it has a cute weird vibe to it. Here’s the video that wound up winning the grand prize:

That was pretty good, I think. And once again we see that the path to victory is paved with footage of little old ladies, kitties, and doggies!
