I could use a 2nd fridge just for ice cream and Diet Mountain Dew

I love video contests that offer multiple prizes.  Winning one huge prize can be tough but it can be surprisingly easy to win runner-up prizes.  And Every Appliance Part’s “I Need a New Appliance” video contest is a perfect example of what I’m talking about.  They’re offering one huge prize package for the top winner but they’ve also got 10 other big prizes up for grabs.  If you’re a video contest junkie it should be pretty easy for you to make one of the best 11 videos in this contest.  For Glob’s sake, there are categories named “Best Superhero themed video” and “Best song and Dance video.”  If half of these prizes aren’t won by Video Contest News readers I’m going to be severely disappointed.  If I wasn’t currently running an ad for this contest I’d keep the details to myself and shoot entries for everyone in my family.  Seriously…this is a very winnable contest.  Here are the details;

Every Appliance Part, is a newly launched online appliance part store (www.everyappliancepart.com) which offers consumers one of the largest inventories of discounted appliance parts on the internet.  Everyone could use at least one new appliance in their household, so in recognition of the grand opening, the company is offering a chance to win various new appliances by entering the I Need a New Appliance video contest.

The grand prize is a complete top of the line, luxurious stainless steel Whirlpool kitchen set (refrigerator, range and dishwasher) for the overall best video based on votes.  All videos must be submitted by September 28, 2012, will be judged by the public and winners will be determined by the number of votes they receive for their submission on the www.everyappliancepart.com website.

So a pubic vote determines the grand prize winner.  But judges will also pick 10 category winners and give them appliances too.  The categories are….

-Most creative video/weirdest video;
-Most unique use for an appliance video;
-Best song and dance video;
-Best superhero themed video;
-Most creative way to keep an appliance working video; and
-Five of the best videos explaining why the contestant needs a new laundry appliance.
